I have a mustache above my upper lip. Could this become a problem as I progress. I have had only three lessons so far and teacher says to try and heep it out of the mouthpiece. Shall I shave it off? It is a bushy, stiff one.

My private lesson instructor has a mustache, and it certainly does not hinder him in the least! Just keep it out of your mouthpiece to keep air from leaking and you'll be okay.

Have one for the past uh 25 years. No prob. Though you might want to trim some depending on your personal situation.

I had a beard with mustache for many years with no problems, I shaved the whole thing when it turned gray, it took a while to get used to playing without it!

I have periodically allowed my 'stache' to grow, ( laziness when shaving ), but, this last time I must have allowed it to get too long and found myself with hair inside the cup of the mouthpiece. This produced a fuzzy sound, so I shaved it back off.
