After getting an embouchure change, I am slowly regaining my range by honking through the notes one by one. Is this okay? Is there a better method?

Who made you change the embouchure? They should be telling you what is next. We have no idea where you were before, where you are now or why.

The best embouchure change is the one that happens when you just practice sensibly. Forcing another geometry on your face is simply a risk that most players do not need to take, but because they are impatient, they try to short circuit natural development. That is what very often happens: they short circuit their natural development and waste a year or more finding some kind of balance. That year is most likely longer than what would have been required to just get in shape.
