I wish I had a picture of the case my Mom made for me, as a little 4th grader for my Uncle's Trombone given to me. It had been used in WW2 in the Sea Bees.
The case was hand made of what looked like the old prison uniforms the inmates had to wear, you know, with the stripes? Yeah, like that. It drew some razzing from, well, just about anyone who saw it, that's who. Then it turned out I was so short I couldn't reach all the positions, thus ending my trombone playing. Soon the trumpet became the instrument of choice and has been ever since. No bad looking cases have been in my possession to show, however.

Selling feature: play it without taking it out of the case, and has a built in mute so you can practice without waking the old folks.

That's awful! Mouthpiece stuck?...tell dad and he will fix the case with a hole saw in the garage. I wonder how badly they chewed up the mouthpiece and receiver with pliers before resorting to the case modification?
