Had my private lesson with Roger today (10/23), and later attended his masterclass--VERY GLAD I DID!! Roger and his wife Vicki couldn't have been nicer, and Roger got me to BACK OFF ON THE VOLUME when I play--I wasn't even aware I was trying so hard!! Roger also asked that I keep in touch by e-mail, so he can answer any questions I might have....He's playing with an all-star big band at a local middle school tomorrow night--I'll be checking the concert out!!:D

Yes, playing too loud is a common problem among us amateur players. BTW, neither Roger or Vicki are great about timely e-mail replies. After a couple attempts I gave up.

    afp,

Roger said it might take him a couple of days to reply--I still thought it was nice that he offered!!

I can't speak for Mr. Ingram, and I've never met you or your wife, but I think that's unlikely:-)
