Hi there! I didn't want to hijack the original thread so I decided to start one for some questions. I've just began using the Vacchiano Trumpet Routines book, and I'm approaching it one routine at a time. Once I'm able to fluently play the entire routine, I move on to the next one. Is this the correct way to approach this? Knowing that you were one of his students, I figured you might have a proper way to play through this book that I'm not aware of, thanks a lot!

    MB,

Yes, that was his intention, to learn as many varied routines and rotate them as you like. May I advise you to make sure and always include long studies like Top Tones and Charlier, etc. It'll make sure your endurance doesn't suffer from doing the short bursts like his studies exclusively.
