Valve problem

    If the ports in the pistons don't line up with the ports in the casings it causes a disturbance in the air column. It cause a horn to play stuffy and out of tune. The more out of alignment they are the worst the problem.

    Things that affect valve alighment. Valve stem felts thickness, top cap felts/bumpers thickness, valve stem length, valve buttom hang over top of stem.

    The rest of the points I can visualize but this one has me stumped. Can you explain it a bit?

    Most finger buttons are not flat on the underside, they have a "skirt" that extends over the top of the stem. This varies with different manufactures.
