What is the difference between rotor oil and valve oil?
    :?:
Is there much of a difference? And will rotor oil hurt the valves if you use it on them?

    Thanks for all your help.

    Warren,

Rotor oil is thicker... more viscous, so, it's best to use thinner valve oil on piston instruments. It may gum up on you more quickly and render your horn a bit frustrating to use.

    Manny,

    Thanks!

Say, four members of my quintet are coming up to hear the "Pictures" concert on Friday. Looking forward to it.

Sounds like an opportunity for a quick, post-concert adult beverage!

    Manny,

    Sounds great!
I'm sure the others won't mind at all.
