I've just fixed our PreSonus FP-10 unit tonight so I might be able to record myself this Sunday when the band practices...

    Be ready!

My trumpet solo only lasts for about 45 secs...I'll have to record some of my actual solo (classical) clips. This is just something that I had handy because it was from this year's field show. It's definitely NOT flawless..at all.

    Hi Lezwoymn,

my first thought was that if you want to post an mp3 you could just attach it to the post. I have attached a pic highlighting the 'paperclip' icon to click to bring up the load file dialog box. (When you save your file, make sure that you know where it is:-))

In the load file dialog click to browse for a file on your own computer.

Now, having said all that, I see that there is a limit on the file size and even if you zip the file you are still limited to about 98kb so maybe this advice is more suited to posting pics and small files (which can either be embedded in the post so you can actually see the pic, or shown in a link).

For your mp3, and they are usually about 1 megabyte per minute length, best solution is probably to get yourself some free webspace, upload the file, and then link to it on the post, which I confess does sound awfully similar to putting it on youTube. Do contact me directly if you want to discuss this off post.

Apologies to everyone for off topic rambling!

    Cheers
    Chris

TY west. I appreciate the info. I still have yet to record a whole song. I'm trying to work out my favorite one and one I can play very well.
