Walking in a trumpet wonderland?

    And it would be a "miracle" if I presently had the capability to play any horn, despite my abilitity to do so. Been there ... done that ... great memories ... and hard times.

    Still like to read music I haven't read before ... the latter meaning also that I haven't played it on my horns.

    Well I sang at the Christmas cantata and my old baritone voice cracked only twice. At home I've been plinking on a 61 key Yamaha 'board but such hasn't lit me up like horns do. Maybe when and if I ever become good enough to play Honky Tonk, I'd "light" up ... and the truth is out now the beautiful music my Mother played on piano ... just wasn't my style and quite possibly why I then didn't learn to play the piano. Too, there just wasn't time to practice on the brass horns (mostly trumpet) and on the piano too.
