I just want an explanation of Pedal Tones. Maybe a video of someone playing them.

You might do an Internet search on Clyde Hunt and his "Sail the Seven Cs" - quite a good description and some fingerings if I remember.

"I never do pedal tones, the only time I did they just about destroyed the rest of my playing."
    Bud Brisbois quoted at

"[Donald] Reinhardt eschewed pedal tones for trumpet players and advised several students that if they wanted to destroy their embouchures with pedal tones, they should study with someone else."

So named because they mimic a contra bombarde stop on a pipe organ, played on the pedal manual.
