But it was on the internet. It has to be right!
In a forum too!!!
Kehaulani, what I meant was the last 2 key of the song ended in (ii) and (i) of the D scale. Like I surrender all (A G F# E D). Please bear with me a little, I'm not a music major. Just having fun learning music.
It seems clear and simple :
I Surrender All is in D for us (C concert pitch), but chords given by the OP are transposed in A (probably for Eb instruments as alto sax). Take the chords for Bb instruments …
In the 1st posted sheet, the last 2 measures are vi,ii,V-V7, I (in A Major) which is a common traditional ending progression.
Yes, but the last measure is D. The key signature is off by a fifth. Which I guess shouldn't really matter who can reject that reality and replace it with their own [key signature].
The original "1st posted sheet" has been replaced with a lead sheet in D. The original was in AMaj with the erroneous key signature of DMaj. If you are coming to this thread a little late, some of the posts can, therefore, be confusing.
OP - just replace what I posted above replacing D with A and replace Bminor with Eminor. I see no need for me to rewrite the entire post. If you need help, though, just ask.
sry, didnt want to leave bad info out there
here is the original sheet I posted came from:
