    Hi all.
Just saw this C-Trumpet on a local site.

trumpet for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand

The guy selling it says it's un-named...etc, but it looks like a Yamaha to me.
I'm not a classical player and have never really played C-trumpet before, but this looks like it could be a good deal.

    Any thoughts? or

I'd imagine Ivan is correct. In any case, there are some things to consider before purchasing this horn:

    1) Why does the maker prefer to remain anonymous?
    2) Where exactly does it say anything about being a C trumpet and not an ordinary no-brand Bb?

That thing looks like a Bb to me.

Ummm, I believe you are correct.
For some reason I figured it was a "C" by the shorter lead-pipe/tuning-slide, but I see now that he's just pushed the tuning-slide all the way in.

I don't have any need for another Bb at the mo, so this one is going into the circular file.

I've been playing Trumpet for 22 years now, and professionally for the last 14. How could I miss that?

I'm off to try and resurrect some pride now

My advice: stay away from the China sea, unsafe waters for trumpeters' money...
