    There are many factor that will come into play as mentioned above. Type of horn, ie. beginner/intermediate the mouthpiece used, etc. You have to look at all the different variables that could come in play.

    Buy both! Use one for lead, and one for section work. Saves wear and tear on the instruments!

    So....what 2 horns did you try? Can we assume (yes I know what that means) that they're NOT any of the horns you have listed in your signature? What MP were you playing?

    wow good question.
    Sounds like one of the two trumpets liked you a little better than the other. Maybe the old wives tale that "the trumpet picks the player if the player is willing to listen" is true.
