    I think you are making more of this than it is...

    What do you call it? A WRONG NOTE of course ... cause you know the melody... if it fits as embelishment then it's not offensive to the (your) ear. :lol: and it would not come off as a "wrong note"... clam or anything else you want to call it.

    I would call it a "lack of concentration". I think alot of playing is all a mental game. You're just flying though the piece, everything is going well, you stop concentrateing as much because its all working out so well, so now that you've lost that concentration you miss a note, you hear it and that kicks your mind back into the game and your concentrating again...
