I used to find that interesting, I became bored with it after a time, now a days I like to play the Arban upside down.....

This is going to have to be a left-handed answer since I'm just getting into trumpet playing and don't really have the chops yet to play what I'd like, but can answer from a sax perspective: Milestones, Impressions, Memphis Soul Stew, Venus (yes the Frankie Avalon hit believe it or not - a hip version, of course : Jaques Ibert: Histoires; Amy Quate: Light of Sothis.
Any genre that allows you to generate a response in the listener. I prefer as wide a variety as possible.
Its taken almost 8 years to build up 7 full arch lever files of jazz transcriptions generated
by some really solid people out there in cyberspace. Thanks to you trumpet chaps both family

Unfortunately only capable of playing maybe 5% but working on it.
Last night had another go at Thad Jones "Low Down" with the Mel Lewis orchestra.
An hour session turned into 2 with a blink of an eye.
OMG, add 320 bpm to all the inverted excercises and you got our song book. How did you discover the secret that coolerdave refers too? It's amazing what a high energy rhythm section can do to this stuff!
