Sorry about the dodgy pun. Purely accidental!

    An opportunity for sure.

When the time comes for people to ask me that question, I'll be ready.

What I mean is, I'm gonna pick out something and work on it, memorize it and get proficient at it, for the purpose of answering that question..."Can you play us something?"

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is...You've been asked this before, so pick out something you like, something fun, simple and short, or whatever...

the next time they ask...well its your trun to shine...

It's your turn to toot your own horn.

    Enjoy it!

That's the one I usually start off with, too. :-)

    Sweet. (2nd movement, I assume?)

BTW, who does a decent recorded rendition of Concierto de Aranjuez on trumpet (as opposed to the traditional classical guitar recordings)??

Mason i am going to make a request! Jingle Bells!! Nothing fancy just Jingle bells. You could download it onto my space and make a like a link to it from trumpet master! It might inspire TM with some Christmas spirit. Incidentally moderators, are we going to have a " Christmas new look" to the trumpet website? Perhaps the "three amigos" WW, EC, K, could have new pictures dressed as the three wise men, or Santa Claus! TM could do with some holly, Church bells, mistletoe etc.You know the stuff; the type of camp decor that we are used to seeing on the high street at Christmas.

    Merry Christmas

My requests come mostly from average Joes. I'll play something universally trumpet and familiar like Perez Prado's "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White" (in C major), or for the ladies, Louis Armstrong's rendition of "La Vie en Rose" (in D major.) I use a copper Harmon Wow-Wow for the latter, the girls say it's romantic. (Some have gasped!) -Ed
