I don't doubt. My major concern is that I will need to be able to tell a decent instrument from a piece of junk, and I can't do that now. I also want to avoid spending money this close to the holidays, really. But right now at my current knowledge level, I'm a lot more likely to not know what to look for in a good used cornet, both because of ignorance and because I can't play well enough to put anything through its paces and determine which ones are good and which ones are junk. If I buy something now and get a decent piece of ordnance, it will be purely by accident.
