    Thank you for sharing. I would fully expect Mr. Clarke to render sich a opinion. Even Satchmo started on the cornet and played and innovated jazz with it. The same thing was said about the acoustic guitar when it replaced the banjo about the same time. It is interesting to note the difficulty people have with change in music or culture. The
    cornet is a great instrument and earlier trumpets did leave much to be desired. I guess, Mr. Benge, Mr. Schilke, Mr. Kanstul and a host of others proved that the trumpet could be a better instrument. I wonder if Mr. Clarke ever converted?
