What trumpet does Chris Botti use?

    Just curious, cause I like the tone of his horn, although I know the tone changes with each person...

    He plays an older Martin commitee, the same horn Miles Davis played.

    Yeah, as I recall he somewhat recently found himself a Martin Committee, but I'm not sure what he played before that. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    He has played a Martin for awhile now. Before that he had a Calicchio.

    I believe he plays a 1940 large bore Martin Handcraft Committee. The rarest of the rare and dearest of the dear on the open market.

    From the interview with Chris Botti in the June 2008 ITG, his equipment is listed as a summer of 1939 Martin Committee, large bore and a 1926 New York Bach 3 (not a 3C) mouthpiece with a 13(!) throat.
