I'm trying to get some information on my FE OLDS & SON Special Edition Trumpet, Fullerton, CA., that I've owned for the past 38 years. With a serial number beginning with 847, I've found a registry that has it manufactured between June 1972 and October 1973. The exact serial number wasn't listed in "The Olds Register," nor was there a single trumpet with the model name of Special Edition. The bell is engraved with "Special Edition", so I assume that's the model name. There's no other name on it anywhere that would indicate it's a different model name. None of my searches for "Special Edition" resulted in any findings that included "Edition", only "Special." Is it the same thing? Just wondering what's special about my "Special Edition" trumpet. Does anyone know?

Photos might help, there are some very on the forum who are very knowledgeable about Old's trumpets. Any photos should include clear photographs of all engraving.
