    OK guys,

a very simple question: Which company owns the Vincent bach corp. ? I know it was taken over by Selmer many years ago, but there has been more developments since then. What I hear is that Steinway owns Selmer now. What's the story?

Steinway Musical Instruments, Inc., is the corporate owner of Conn-Selmer, Inc., which is now the largest manufacturer and distributer of musical instruments in the U.S. The instrument labels that fall under this banner are Armstrong, Artley, Vincent Bach, Benge, Buescher, C.G. Conn, Emerson, Glaesel, King, Ludwig, Musser, Scherl & Roth, Selmer, and Wm. Lewis & Son.

Further confusing things, Conn-Selmer is the US distributor of Selmer Paris, which is not related, other than through the distribution agreement. Selmer Paris is still owned by the same Selmer family that started it in the 1800s.
