I know you are an old player if you remember Holton valve oil in the glass bottle with an eye dropper for a cap.:-?

How about if you played the hot setup of an Olds Recording with a Rudy Muck mouthpiece?

    Cheers,

Gee, that's not old--old is when you can remember the invention of the valve!

I can even remember that it was called (and still is, I believe) Holton Electric Oil. But while I used to use it in my Olds Recording, I played a factory-modified Olds mouthpiece.

I have a bottle laying around here someplace, it's a one inch square bottle, maybe 3 inch high with light green oil and eyedropper. Bought it back in the late 50's, don't know what for, I didn't play any brass. Isn't it funny I remember that but can't remember what happened this morning..

    Gee Guys,
Holton Valve oil in a bottle? Yes, but Put it in perspective..

How about Milk delivered in a Bottle was a new invention?
The Milk delivery vehicle was a horse and cart?
The roads weren't paved, still gravel?
We had out-houses which required some poor soul to pick up and replace the can each week?
1 penny could buy a bag of lollies, and a half-penny was of value?
The Guinea was more than a Pound, a Bakers Dozen was made that day?
    Church service was in Latin?
Telephones still needed an operator, and had a ringer and a mouthpiece?
AND Maynard was Still playing some High Notes then....
