My dad got me a Dizzy box set for christmas right around the time I started playing. I couldn't believe my ears. Then I found Louis. After those two guys I was hooked. I don't remember who I really fell in love with after that, but it has been a never ending stream of amazing players since.

Harry James' Concerto for Trumpet and then Trumpet Blues and Cantabile
Then it was Maynard Ferguson playing MacArthur Park. As I started listening to more of MF I was just blown away by every song.

My first pro hero's were Harry James and Al Hirt. After that the list is too long to write down.

Wynton for me too...he opened the door for me to experience
the long list of wonderful trumpet players- both classical and jazz.
