So I am VERY sorry if this is a repost, I could not find one.
So earlier this week I had my wisdom teeth removed and I have been instructed not to play for an entire week. This is ok I guess becasue it had to be done and I do have a few weeks before any major events where I need to play. I was just wondering how I should start to practice once the healing has started?(Aside from very carefully)
    Any suggestions would be great!
    Thanks Rory

You can use a pencil for 5 -10 minutes per day this week to keep some muscle tone in your face. You can also "finger" Clarke, Arban, Schlossberg..... and scales to keep those in shape. Really BANG them down. You can also sing or hum through some new music to get a mental image before you play a note!

If you do this, after a week you can start where you left off. No or little need to rebuild.

With the time left over, you can do some great non-trumpet things that you will never get to afterwards.
