i am selling what I believe to be a 1948 Martin Committee that belonged to my father. I have attached a few pictures and can supply more if you are interested and pm me. it comes in it's original case which is in great condition. I just had the trumpet cleaned and corks replaced. The valves all move very smoothly as do all the slides. Not knowing much about trumpets myself I suspect it is a medium bore from the research I have done. Can't comment on what type of tone it has but my father played jazz back in the late '40's and 50's. He studied with Joe Alessi, the father of Joe Alessi Sr. He kept his trumpet in very good playing condition. It is missing some of the lacquer and isn't terribly shiny. It has a couple of very small dings on the slide nearest the mouthpiece. I am asking $1500 for this trumpet. I will include all the mutes that he had with it, don't know if they are still good, and a Vincent Bach 7c mouthpiece. Thanks for looking.

Sorry to appear like a flake. I had the trumpet appraised today and Was told it is worth more than I was asking for it. For the time being I am going to keep it myself for sentimental reasons. Who knows, maybe I will become a trumpet player!
