Wynton Marsalis -Unbrassy

    If I didn't want a trumpet to sound brassy, I'd listen to Sax and clarinet records..

    Go back and hear Maynard in around 1970 playing Bridge Over Troubled Waters. That's about as brassy and ballsy as a trumpet can sound. Nothing wrong with that. To each his own, I guess.

    And I love Wynton by the way. I think he's just trying to be trendy.
