Thanks for that one. I worked it into a faster, slow double tongue speed. Which is really good because I'm playing the Ravel Piano Concerto tonight!

I think I'll look up the others.

    Knock 'em dead, R!

By the way..., doesn't it just stink that the english horn solo wasn't written for us?! Arrgh! I LOVE that solo so much but we were denied by Ravel, I'm afraid.

    Merde,

That would be great to play. And in the hands of a really fine player, it could be a Ravel-ation.

If selfish trumpet players start re-orchestrating the master, I fear a great unRaveling.

    Wow Manny

I'll have to work at this....

I won't bother posting where I'm at; let's just say it's not worth discussing at the moment.

    This is a good one....

I had my son try out this exercise.
He was thrilled with the results.
He doesn't crack notes anymore (or as much)
Have you thought about writing a book about trumpet?
    Just a suggestion.
Even though I am a trombone player, a lot of what you say really helps us out. Even if my instrument is larger than yours.

    Thanks
    Paul

Arrghh...I can't Handel it! Can I just play Ravel-ley instead?

After playing this over the last few days, I have found that it is a very Hummel-ing experience to say the least.
