Quick question I hope. Can a thumb ring for the slider be added to a Yamaha 2320 student trumpet?

probably not easily. for the extra cost you may have just gotten the 2335 which has it already

Any decent repair shop should be able to order the part and put it on if the tubing is setup to accept one. The cost might not be ideal though.

It is possible the slide from a 2335 might fit, if you can find one in someones parts bin...

I like et mike's suggestion, see if you can find a slide to swap out.

I suggest saving the money toward a new horn.

Ok guys it sounds unanimous, I should have bought the V8...or at least the 2335, if I really wanted a thumb seat for my slide. Thanks for the information and a few good suggestions.
