    Ouch! Condolences...
You're not alone: what kind of idiot can put his horn upside down to inspect the Amado keys and drop the Monette Prana mouthpiece on the concrete?

My son would flip the trumpet around and drop the mouthpiece on the pavement (although it would be a VB). That is why I bought him a Kelly mouthpiece for marching band.

I had my horn sat on once. I was playing a church service in a friend's hometown, and when we were done playing, we put our horns on the front row pew. I never saw who did it, I just know that when I came back to it, it was clear that someone had put some weight on it. Mine wasn't damaged that badly - mine was pushed in just slightly at the bell brace and it was still playable - but I was pretty upset about it nonetheless. I didn't even get it repaired until later when I accidentally dropped it on the bell, but that's another story for another time.

I had my POS Blessing Scholastic stepped on in college. I believe it was a 15 yard out pattern. It sucks because I threw the football (in the direction of my horn sitting on the sideline).
