What was your order of purchase(or playing) of your trumpet related horns?
And if you could've changed, what do you want to change?
(P.S. What is YOUR recommended order of purchase)
    French Horn
    Soprano Trombone

Trumpet first on a beat up King then trumpet/baritone in middle school. HS came a Collegiate and beginning guitar/bass. Now cornet. Wish I could have learned piano/strings first and found out about cornets way sooner. I'd like to maybe try the French horn

I started out on violin when I was 4, added piano when I was 6, my first king 600 was when I was in third grade all the way until 8th. I dropped violin when I was 10 and piano when I was 12. My first strad I got in 8th grade, but it was terrible. I got my c when I joined my youth orchestra in 9th grade. I've had various different horns since then that I've traded, bought, sold, or kept. I'm now a senior and auditioning for top music schools.

This will only be brass instruments to save length, and might be slightly out of order.
(these dates are from memory, and might be a year or two off)
    1950ish Holton Model 79 Mellophone
    1910 Holton Couturier model Cornet
    1970 Conn 17A
1918ish Austrian (no markings other than Austria on the receiver) Bugle with severe tuning problems (I bought it for the NY Bach mouthpiece with it.)
1921 Buescher Trombone (I can't really play it that well, I'm not very good at using a slide)
    1928 or so King Euphonium
    1972 Holton Galaxy Trumpet
And as for what I would have changed, I would probably have gotten a trumpet earlier.

    Great Southern Land
    Bb Trumpet
Bb Pocket Cornet ...sold almost immediately for 2x my cost which paid for...
    Bb Cornet
    Bb Trumpet
    Bb Trumpet
    Bb Trumpet
    Flugel Horn

I'll probably sell one of the trumpets when I get around to it. Maybe two of them. I didn't include euphonium in the list because I didn't buy one - I was loaned one by my community brass band. One day I may get a C trumpet, and I'd like to have a proper go on trombone. Also not included are various non-horn instruments - piano, flageolet, tin whistle, harmonica.

One day if I get any free time (and more space in the house) I'd like to try cello and drums.

As for order of importance for what I do,

A year ago, Bb cornet would have been at the top of the list, so do things change.
