I am very interested to know if anyone finds that it records better then a hi-mini disc recorder in terms of the quality of sound. A really good mic on a mini disc seems to be pretty nice. This recorder is very intriging though..I have been thinking about one for some time now and Alex, that is a great deal!!! Please keep us up on your thoughts :)

Hey! I saw one of these at Trumpet fest in WestChester on Sunday. A guy behind me in one of the clinics had it out and I assumed he was recording but it was so small I thought perhaps it was a tuner or something and he was checking the instructors pitch?!?!?:duh:
Any way when I saw the link. I recognized the device. I don't know who it was but maybe they are a TM member and will chime in.

MJ, this device does have a jack for an external mic as well as the mics on the unit. It also has an adapter that allows you to attach the unit to a boom, tripod or mic stand. I have not had the time to do any experimentation, but I will this weekend.
