Wayne.
That's highly classified information.

Re: TrumpetMaster.com finds a new Home

Nick,

TM doesn't "want" an American only website. What you don't realize is that the artists in residence here have one thing in common: at least one other artist knows them personally. This is important because when someone is invited by another artist, it's nice to have the personal connection. That we all happen to be Americans is coincidental. What is most important is to have people that can offer the readers something unique and that there is a nice comaraderie between the artists.

I can say this: TM is what it is for right now. One day that may change. It has changed VERY much in the short time I've been here. For all I know, Sergei Najakarov may decide to buy the rights to the site tomorrow. Nothing is written in stone and TM is still a work in progress. It changes all the time.

Perhaps this would be a good time for a group of Bulgarians to put together a similar website if they don't already exist. It would be a kick to check it out even if the majority of us couldn't read the language it would still be kind of fun.

I know that there a few Spanish language trumpet sites. Keruoac (a member here) wrote me to invite me to be on it but I never have enough time to be on it regularly, you see? Besides, I get intimidated because my grammar and vocabulary are not great.

Anyway, a few ideas for you.

ML

Yeah! I thought of that but my website building skills are not good enough to do such a thing...Probably if I find a trumpeter who is doing better than me, we can put together such a forum. And yes, probably reading would be a problem for most TMers. But I know that there is a russian trumpeters site http://trumpet-club.org/ where you can have a go for the moment....it is fun and I wish you luck with the reading . I think that they used to have an english version but nomore... There is also 2 french trumpet forums which much less fun...it is not that well organised. http://www.webdonline.com/fr/service....asp?id=155218 http://w2.webreseau.com/fr/services/....asp?id=661833 but probably it is not that easy to do....If I find one day people to do with a Bulgarian trumpet forum, you will be the first TMers to know. I hope though that TM will change...Well, if you decide to invite an european/asian or any other non-US resident artist I would like to know...Sergei Nakariakov buying TM? I hope that he won't .

Re: TrumpetMaster.com finds a new Home

I went to the Russian site. That was fun! I clicked on the video and found the performer to have a nice sound and technic on the piccolo. It also showed the value of not rushing through the tuning and making sure it's right before you proceed. If he had come out and not checked he would have had a tough time relaxing, I think.

Thanks for that. Do they have an artist's forum?

Re: TrumpetMaster.com finds a new Home

Unfortunately, there is no Artist forum on any of sites that I gave a link for...Well, No one can beat TM! At least for now I suppose that the guy sould have cut out this tunning thing of the video...The Russian site gives a link to some clips opf the recital, which are not that but...Well, he is probably conducting a bit too much with his trumpet, but it sounds quite adequate http://video.mail.ru/mail/dsgi/1008/1010.html http://video.mail.ru/mail/dsgi/1008/1011.html

Any news on the new Artist yet?
According to the front page they are due for unveiling in January - and that month is fast running out.

Really nice playing on the video. Does anyone know the piece? I am not at all familiar with picc pieces or classical pieces for that matter. I need to remedy that.
