 | Armando Ghitalla As we mourn the recent passing of Vincent Cichowicz, please take a moment to remember another of the great trumpet players and teachers of our time, Armando Ghitalla. It was five years ago, today, that Ghitalla passed away in Houston. Though he is no longer with us, his teachings live on in his students and his recordings. It is hard to know how to treat a day like today, as I try and remember my teacher and friend. So, what I will do is practice, pop in one of his recordings, and sit back with a nice glass of wine.
