No problem,Crow.
I have 3 different types of "aftermarket" springs.
Email me your address and I'll send them to you to try.

Re: The best valve springs

I just recently got a new Bach tr300 and the springs on it were alot stiffer than what i was used to, I played it for a little while and realized I actually like the stiffer springs.

Re: The best valve springs

In my 'accumilation' I have all different valve spring action types. I have some that I seem to fight to get down and others that are too week for the slippery condition of the valves in that horn. My favorites are both vintage Olds trumpets, an early L.A. made Studio Model and an even earlier Military Model. Every trumpet player who has tried either has commented on the extremely light and fast action of the valves in these two old horns.

Whoops! I just remembered my York Airflow cornet. The valves feel as good as either of my elderly Olds trumpets and the York valves are even much shorter in their stroke length.
