Re: Cleaning House

My rule of thumb is when I can't remember the last time I cleaned my horn it's time to clean it again.
We were kicking around some ideas yesterday at the school for fundraising. I said car wash, facetiously, and then someone said horn wash. That's an idea, have everybody bring their horns in and we clean them. $10 for a trumpet, $20 for french horn, $30 for trombone, $100 for a tuba.

Re: Cleaning House

I never seem to make the time do a complete job in one sitting so I spend a minute or two everyday cleaning something on whatever trumpet I'm using. They're never perfect but they never get too bad either.

Re: Cleaning House

I know it's time because it just doesn't feel right. Usually around every 2-3 weeks or so.
