Community Bands in Ft.Worth ,TX. area

Hey guys,
I am looking for a band (concert, jazz, whatever) in the Ft.Worth area to join or at least try out for. I know about the City Band but, are there any others in my area? I would also like to play in a church orchestra if anyone knows of a chair avaliable.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cliff

Cliff, send me an email at dcstep@swbell.net and I'll put a notice in the DFW Trumpeter newsletter that'll go out by next weekend. Maybe someone is looking for a trumpeter (there are tons of community bands around Dallas, so I'm certain there's something on your side of the river (Trinity).

How far are you willing to travel? There's a group called the Gainesville Swing Orchestra that is really good if you're willing to drive to Gainesville. Check with local community colleges, sometimes they are looking for good talent.
