Thanks Jens that means a lot. Also, I want to thank all of you for you very kind words. I received my official offer today (Oct 4th) and as of Nov 6th, I am a trumpet player for the Stadacona Band in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Thanks all
Sincerely
Eric Sproul

Eric

Great to hear you play and clinic your band this past weekend. You are going to have great time in the Stad band. I hope they will let you play a bit o' lead too. I am playing at Stayners on Nov. 9th in Halifax w/ Chris Mitchel, Tom Easley, Kevin Brunkhorst, and Mark Adam. Stop by it would be good to hang. Tim and some of the other stad guys always come and hang on the jazz east night.

Best,
PT

I will be there on the 9th. You rock man, I loved your show at "On the Verge".

And in regards to the nose turning blue thing, my nose has been blue all my life

Ditto that, Eric.

(A "Bluenoser" is someone born in Nova Scotia)

Really? I thought a bluenoser was someone "from Nova Scotia". Although I was born overseas I was born to a Nova Scotia Family (I was a base brat).

Nope, I think "birth" is a requirement; although certainly being raised in the province would likely qualify.

A "base brat" eh? Ditto that too! (Overseas? 1 Wing in Marville by chance?)

No, born at C.F.B. Lahr, Germany - moved to Cold Lake at 18 months and then moved to NS a couple years after.

Ahh... I was on the other side of the border.. Marville France from '58 to '62. Pretty much next-door neighbours (well, maybe except for the dates)! LOL.

Eric,

I am so very happy for you. There is nothing so special as being able to support yourself by doing what you love. I wish you many years of enjoyment in your new carrier. Don't fall over board!
