Muscians Wanted

We have a "big band" in the Lake of the Ozarks area of Mid-Missouri. This is a hobby band aka no pay, but we have a lot of fun. Over a period of years with people moving out of the area, etc. we find we need additional musicians. We have a good core group but need to add saxes, trombones, trumpets, and a piano player. I realize this is a trumpet site, but I thought I would put out this notice. I've put ads in the local papers, at music stores, community bulletin boards at supermarkets and still have a lack of response. Anyone else out there have a similar predicament? If so, how did you find players to come out of the bushes? We have a library of over 300 charts that cover Basie, Ellington and Miller tunes. Any ideas on how to find players would be appreciated.

I would be there in a minute or maybe a few hours if the price of gas wasn't so high.
I'm in St. Charles, Mo.
