 | New CD 'De Lux Trumpet' from Philippe Schartz Philippe Schartz hails from the small European country of Luxembourg but is currently the Principal Trumpet player of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Philippe has recently released this his latest CD De Lux Trumpet which is made up of world premiere recordings of works for trumpet and wind band and for trumpet quartet. The works for trumpet quartet are L-Fanfare (Roland Wiltgen) and Trumpets on Trip (Jean-Paul Frisch) and there are two trumpet concertos, by Trevor Ford and Marco Pütz. Accompaniment for the trumpet concertos is provided by Military Band Grand Duchy Luxembourg who also perform Schmelz Trilogy (Roland Wiltgen). Available now from World of Brass.
