miles71, for your horn's finish how about satin or brushed with bright finish inside the bell and on the top and bottom valve caps. This looks really nice.

But for some reason, Dales 184 justs kills me.

Does anyone have a suggestion to bring out the shine on my 10B. It is original gold plate, and is probably getting very thin by now. So I'll need something gentle yet effective.

Sorry, I don't mean to hurt anyone......

Here's another of my favorites - my 1960 Conn 6B Victor. I like the tri-color look on a lacquered horn. This one's all original and in great condition (plays well, too).

Very nice! Now I know why you appreciate engraving - you have a horn with some beautiful work on it. As for polishing gold plate, you might try some liquid silver polish and a soft cloth. I wouldn't use anything stronger.

All very nice horns! That '77 Strad looks awesome for its age. I wish I could get one of those seasoned horns!
