Dale, that's a pretty dang old instrument. I can't believe it is in that condition.

max, does Felix loan instruments? I had never heard of that until your post.

I played the Silver horn that is for sale in his Used section

The Premier Custom Trumpet Shop - New York Trumpet Company

I don't believe it is his practice to loan them out, but he was nice enough to offer it to me.

Here are my beauties! The Stage 1 pair.

- Stage 1 New York trumpet with palladium polished finish and gold hilights.
- Stage 1 Classic flugelhorn with shotblasted gold finish!





I simply cannot say enough good things about these horns and Felix himself!!

Oh it plays like a dream. Very very easy to play. The tone is gorgeus!! And the intonation, which is an issue on many flugelhorn, is the best I've experienced on any flugelhorn. The craftmanship is simply outstanding. I'm also extremely satisfied with the finish which I think is just beautiful.

I have the rose brass bell. Could be interesting to try out the copper bell to hear the difference, but as I said the tone is gorgeus and I don't want to change it at all.
