| Pianissimo User | To put all of this in short, get yourself in tune to your ensemble's tuning note. Playing at equal temperment will only kill your chops and you'll sound bad. Tune yourself to the chords and the people around you and you'll be okay.

![]() | Jon, I see what you mean. Although, that H.S. sound wasn't bad. You had a nice open and full tone. What horn were you playing then? I'm starting to catch on to the facts of playing in pitch with ensemles.....thanks, tom |
