A good start is a real mouthpiece for the nat. The LONG backbore does a world of good in getting the intonation close to usable.

The low G in the Brahms works best with a larger belled nat like the Egger models. The smaller belled like from Michael Münkwitz just don't give you that brahmsy feeling

I would agree.. Also, a Hass bell can help, as could a larger mouthpiece (closer to a principale)..

I like the low notes on the four holers better than on the three holers as well. Something about the design seems to help in the lower register.
