Re: Trumpet duets

Ditto on the Mel Broiles duets. Super fun! And quality. They are in the same books as his etudes, can't think what they are titled right now.

Re: Trumpet duets

I just bought a book containing duet arrangements of the Haydn, Hummel, and Neruda concerti...complete parts! One player plays the solos and the other plays an accompaniment line. I haven't had the chance to play them yet, but I'll let you if they're any good or not...

Paul Poovey

P.S. Tom -- I don't post over here very often (as you can obviously see), but welcome!

Re: Trumpet duets

Siarr,

I wanted to thank you for sending those duets.
I haven't had a chance to play through all of them but have enjoyed the ones I have played. I like the idea that they are original but composed around familiar themes. They are also great for challenging students to sightread during lessons.

Thanks again

Tom Hooten

My pleasure, Tom!

Glad you're enjoying them. I just started working on a second volume, featuring more duets with trombone, and also for combinations of different horns (picc, flugel, etc.). I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, thanks again for your support, and best wishes for your new gig!

Cheers,
Chas Reskin

My roommate and I are playing the Dialogue this semester. Do you know of any recordings of it? I've been searching and can not find any. Thanks
