Thanks, I'm hanging in alright. I really enjoy playing even what little I can. I don't know what it is about the trumpet that is so appealing but I don't want to put it down.
Make sure when you play pp that you don't do it by making your lips or throat tight.
What is pp?

That's good new because the only way I can get low notes is by playing softly and lips open. Of course it still comes out a bit unfocused but I guess that will improve in time.

This is endurance plain and simple.

All you can do for this is to just play. Your endurance will increase with time, don't rush it.
