First choice is Banff, Canada (bring plenty of money)

Second would be New Orleans or Dallas (much more affordable)

Direct, non-stop flights should be a major consideration.

I voted for my home town, but Chicago would be good too especially if it's during the CSO's regular season.

New Orleans would be great just because it's New Orleans. But Chicago has the flights, the hotels, the nightlife. In the summer there is not only CSO but Grant Park at Millenium Park. The jazz is all the time. Maybe not as 24 hour a day town as New York, but about 22 and a half hour a day place.

bandman will become famous soon enough
I also like the idea of New Orleans, but before you consider that site you better look at flight prices. I would be willing to bet that Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago and St. Louis would be the cheapest places to fly into. Of those locations Dallas would probably have the cheapest hotel rates. I have always found Dallas hotel rates to be very reasonable as compared to other major cities.

Yeah, but then you'd be in Dallas.
