Hmm...seeing as I don't have a music stand at my home(I'm poor cut me some lack), I'll tell you what is sitting on my couch.

Arban a.k.a the Bible
Clarke Technical Studies a.k.a the Devil
Audition music for the Cavaliers '06
Mid-state music
Sigmund Hering 32 Etudes for trumpet...site reading.

Btw, if anybody wants to send me some high school level site reading music to me I'd be absolutely thrilled. Since gas is so high I don't know when I will get a chance to go to my "local" music store(50 miles away) and buy something to read.

Stamp warm-up book.
Clarke technical studies book.
Tomasi Etudes.
...and music to a new show that i contributed music to - why do i always write myself such difficult parts

... but don't worry - Arbans is close by ... i use the Art of Phrasing section for a bit of sight-reading practice, and for a musical 'feel-good' excercise at the end of each day

Arban's - St. Jacome - I alternate
Schlossberg
Vasily Brandt
Sachse (I don't know why I keep trying to learn to transpose - although it does help my sight-reading)
Clarke Technical
Two books of Albert Mancini odd-meter exercises

The more I practice this stuff, the more glad I am I'm not trying to make a living playing trumpet.

I will forever be in awe of you guys that do!

Man, lots of Tomasi out there. I'm thinking about doing the theme from the theme and variations for part of my placement audition at school.

Mmmmm ....a great post and it's interesting seeing what everyone has on their stand. All I can say is that some of you must have very, very, large stands!!!!

On my stand at the moment:

Arban Carnival de Venice
Haydn Trumpet Concerto
Busser Andante et Scherzo

On my shelf next to my stand which are played regularly!

Arban - the Cornet method as I started life as a Cornet player in the North of England!
Clarke Technical Studies
Allen Vizutti Book 2
Quiet City - Copland

All my other repertoire is also very close at hand but that's what I am on at the moment.

By the way ......mine is a big stand too!!!!

Happy playing!

Graham
