Re: Why upgrade?

I think it is good to play what you have and enjoy it to the very best you can.
It is also good to take any and every chance to play new/different horns.

You never know what an instrument is like for you until you pick it up and make some music.

Odds are most will be nice or darn good but not so much that you would give up your bach.
Then again, you might play one that grabs you and won't let you go. The horn you don't want to put down and you keep saying to each other, "We were made to make MUSIC together!"

You will never find out unless you try.

Have Fun.

Re: Why upgrade?

Like stated before a new horn isn't going to make you better....but it will change your sound........I was playing on my nickel plated Olds Studio....but wanted a different/warmer sound.....hence a little horn by the name of Martin Committee found it's way into my collection...
