Hi everyone -

I've been alerted to a few anomalies on the rules posted at the Ellsworth Smith website since the entry deadline was changed; these will be corrected ASAP. To clear up any confusion, the deadline for Ellsworth Smith entries has been pushed back to July 10, 2008; this is a "RECEIVED BY" deadline, not a postmark deadline. See the ITG News website for the original date change announcement and rationale.

The piano reduction of Richard Cornell's concerto will be in the mail to all entrants by July 15th, and participants advancing to Round Two will be notified by August 1.

Other clarifications that may be useful:
1. The Henderson work must be performed at concert pitch on C trumpet.
2. The Haydn may be performed on E flat or B flat trumpet, and the recording must include a cadenza composed by the contestant.
3. The Telemann ("di Melante") is the "usual" one with the slow first movement beginning thus:
