| Forte User | I've had the piece for about a year. Dokschitzer's cadenza is the best part of the piece. Haven't yet got this piece completely downloaded, but heres a recording. http://www.ecclectica.ca/issues/2002/2/music.asp Van |

| Forte User | Here is a little article about Bibi Black (Scroll down the page) http://www.al.com/alabamiana/?music.html From what is written there, if she was able to land a seat in the Phillidelphia orchestra at age 23, she must be doing something right. As for recordings, the only one that I'm familiar with at all is the Dokschitzer recording, but there is certainly nothing wrong it that. |

| Forte User | *Listening to the recording, now that he has a fast connection* Bleh, the recording itself is jumpy!!! Put I like the style he plays with. Little mistakes aside. I love |

| Forte User | I take back my last statement, if you right click, and "save target as," it runs perfect. LORD, I love the orchestral version. The second movement especially makes me happy. I just hope one day I can make that kind of intimate music with my horn. So yeah, everyone wanting a free recording, check it out. I like how he does the final cadenza, especially. He does make one giant cack, though. Van |

| Forte User | I've heard a bit of him playing (It was on the internet at one time, dad-gummit). It was gorgeous. It was like he was born for that piece. That player in the recording there was very good, though. I have to hand it to him.. Van |

| I did Arutunian for NYSSMA this past May. My private teacher gave me the Dokschitzer recording to listen to, b/c he says it's the standard. Very Russian, though, with all the vibrato. I wish Wynton would make a recording of it! |
